A lovely and informative article praising the correct use of a semicolon. I also found the article itself to hold a couple, if not more, unintentional grammatical puns: “Semicolon sightings in the city are unusual, period, much less in exhortations drafted by committees of civil servants.” “Mr. Berkowitz, by the way, is now serving an even longer sentence.”
