Creating minimalist designs is so much more challenging than whatever the opposite of that is. In the web’s case, it usually means cutting elements or features that exist only because they’ve been around long enough and never questioned. You have to think, “does the user need this?” “Is this a want that evolved into a need? Or is it still a want.” “If this weren’t here, would anyone notice?”
Ultimately, it’s “If this were gone, would everything else benefit?”
I shouldn’t even call it minimal design, everything else should just be called excess.

From Satanic Panic In the Attic, one of the albums I got super into with my tigress.
Eh. Tumblr has one major problem when posting items. Sometimes the description of images, links, videos and other posts don’t automatically add paragraph tags. I don’t know if this is just an issue with the bookmarklet or what but it’s freakin’ annoying because it screws up all the padding and, well, frankly it makes me sad.
(sad face goes here)
I’ve gotten this same issue. I think it somewhat depends on the editor’s type (rich text/html/markdown) but I haven’t really looked into it.
If you’ve read the book, can you email me? I want to know how much I’ve just ruined. peter@yeahdu.de
