BUFFALO, NY—Residents in a downtown apartment questioned the goals and motives of the bugs infesting their home this week after watching cockroaches wander aimlessly from room to room with no apparent objective. “At first I thought they were just searching for food,” Valerie Dicaro said Wednesday, adding that she figured the bugs would have their act together by now, considering it’s been six months. “But then I saw a bunch of them in the hallway, where there’s no food at all. What exactly is the game plan here?” Dicaro stated that if the bugs fail to make any progress soon, she might have to kill them.

Designers, too.
Start by modifying the well-written themes in our Featured and Premium sections. Sketch out ideas in notebooks and mock them up in Photoshop until you know what you want. Then poke through the code until it matches your mockup.
A good way to learn HTML and CSS is by using the browser’s inspector tool. Just poke around every site you see and notice how the elements are broken up and nested. Notice how some things need to use images and some things are pure CSS. Look at objects that are floating until that whole thing clicks in your head. Change any of the values and see what happens.
It’s all tedious but for some weirdos it’s really rewarding. If you enjoy the end result it won’t feel like work.
