I don’t think my sleep schedule has ever been this efficient. I’m consistently working the same 12 hour shift and getting exactly 8 hours of sleep. It seems to be withholding my awareness for the night shift pretty well.
The part that bothers me is yawning on the drive home every morning. Seeing everyone busily driving to work or play with an entire day ahead of them, and I’m racing to get to a bed. It’s not depressing so much as it’s disappointment that I’m missing out on, well, the day.
I do love waking up to the dark, though. And escaping the traffic.
