This map of Brookland is from 1766. One of the more incredible things about it is how defined most of Manhattan already was, over almost three centuries ago.

The Library of Congress has an enormous collection of maps organized by state.  They’re indexed by date and points of interest.  I have a few of my favorites saved in a folder to print some day.
